It is with sadness that we announce that we are not able to run our annual Summer Academy this year. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have some amazing mentors to work with the young people of Portsmouth in the past years. However this year we’ve not been able to get the manpower and as such we’ll have to cancel the event.

This is not going to be a permanent thing. I’m sure we will be back! Keep your eyes posted for more information…

Incredible Academy!

We’ve just about recovered now from what has been an amazing summer academy. 45 amazing young people came and spent a week with us doing everything from singing, playing in a band to movie making and graphic design.

We’ll be uploading pictures from the week and the gig soon, but for those of you who came a special treat for you to remind you how great the week was….. a banzai….! Enjoy…

Summer Academy 2010

Our summer academy is one of the most enjoyable weeks of our year here at HOPE. This year it promises to be just as incredible! Once again we are inviting young people from all over Portsmouth the opportunity to get involved in vocal workshops, band workshops, dance, DJ, techy workshops as well as film making and graphic design workshops. All the work that we do in the week is building to our showcase gig which we do at the end of the week.

The week is simply incredible – and we would love as many young people as possible to be involved. If you would like to be involved this year, simply contact us and we will send you information about it.

I know it has taken longer than expected but the DVD’s are finally ready! We are really pleased at how amazing everyone performed at the gig and we know you are going to enjoy watching it along with all the special features and behind the scenes footage.

If you took part in the Summer Academy then you are eligible for a free copy. Extra copies can be ordered at the cost at £5 each. If you would like extra copies, contact us and let us know.
